Stormfly

In June 2018, during the rescue of Diva the Deaf Pig, Skye encountered a mama cat and her seven newborn kittens living in a plastic storage container with nowhere to go. Naturally, Skye brought the entire feline family back home, setting up her bathroom's garden tub as a temporary nursery. Soon after, the entire family was moved to the climate-controlled barn, where they were safe but had plenty of space to be playful kittens. Once the kittens were weaned, forever homes were found for five of them, but Mama Freya and her daughters, Storm and Mocha, remained at the sanctuary.

Like her sister, Storm is a petite cat. She is a dilute tortoiseshell, a rarer color pattern variation of tortoiseshells.

After living as barn cats for a while, Storm and Mocha were moved up to the house in 2020 after Mocha suffered a mysterious broken leg. Oddly enough, even though the sisters have never been separated, they’ve also never been friends and seem to try to ignore each other. Now, Storm enjoys the best of both worlds as one of the three indoor/outdoor cats here, often found lounging in a nook or blanket.
