Lulu & The Little Rascals

Lulu, Rarity Jewel, Fluttershy, Spitfire, Soarin

In September 2019, FPAS welcomed Lulu and her babies, the Little Rascals to the sanctuary. Their original rescue was coordinated by the kind-hearted pig parents of Scarlett O'Hara, the Southern Belle Pig, in middle Georgia. The rescue began when reports surfaced of an abandoned pig living in the woods near town who had given birth to a litter of piglets. All were very shy, making it a challenge to catch them, but after a few days, they were safely rescued.

FPAS agreed to take in the family, and their rescuers—who later became Southern Oaks Sanctuary—kindly transported them to their new home. Their rescuers had named them Lulu and the Little Rascals, with each piglet named after a character from the movie. FPAS decided to rename the babies after My Little Ponies while keeping their group nickname "the Little Rascals" and mum as Lulu.

Though they have made a lot of progress since arriving, Lulu and her kids are still on the shy side due to the lack of time to individually socialize them. The whole family continues to live together, minus one little girl who now enjoys a bougie house pig life with her own family. Lulu and the Little Rascals are a cherished part of the sanctuary, thriving in their forever home.
