Mr. Peabody

Mr. Peabody is short, round, and absolutely adorable! Rescued in 2015, he was one of the first pigs Skye was contacted about needing a home. Upon his arrival, he was extremely overweight, and has been resisting his diet ever since. When he first came to the sanctuary, Mr. Peabody refused to eat vegetables and wasn’t fond of pig pellets either, as he had been roaming a neighborhood and surviving on leftovers and junk food.

Adding to his challenges, Mr. Peabody has short, stubby legs, likely the result of inbreeding. Despite ongoing efforts, his weight has been difficult to manage, as he's the type who seems to gain weight just by looking at food! Due to his short stature and being one of the sanctuary’s oldest resident pigs, he now lives in the special needs herd, where he receives extra care and attention.

Despite his struggles, Mr. Peabody is an absolute gentleman. His gentle, loving nature perfectly represents the sweet temperament of most pigs. Interestingly, he’s also one of the softest pigs at the sanctuary, making him a favorite to cuddle with!
